Testing & Performance
Every Velocitas round is machined from solid copper, run through the FBI barrier protocol, and evaluated by independent labs. Here are the results in plain numbers, with the lab and date next to each one.
VX9 - 9mm 96gr Solid Copper (20 & 50 ct)
Machined from solid copper to drive through hard barriers - glass, steel, auto doors - and deform in a controlled way that expands its surface area while holding together.
Tested: 16" gel penetration with controlled expansion, about 1,270 fps from a Glock 17 pistol. Holds together through auto glass and doors with no deflection. FBI-protocol tested. Full data available to qualified law enforcement, military and dealers on request.
VX223 - .223/5.56 60gr Solid Copper
A lead-free .223 built for barriers. On impact its petals shear off by design, leaving a solid core that keeps driving straight and deep - lower retained weight is the design working, not a failure.
FBI-protocol tested.
