The VX9 is a solid copper, lead-free 9mm projectile built for law enforcement, military, and everyday defensive carry. It's machined from a solid copper billet with a hollow point nose and precision-cut slits down the body — no lead, no jacket to separate.
 
Here's how it works. Put a hard barrier in front of it — auto glass, sheet steel, a car door — and the nose folds in and drives through, holding together and keeping nearly all its weight. Hit soft tissue and it opens into petals, expanding its surface area to transfer energy where you want it. Same bullet, two behaviors, depending on what it hits. That's what "barrier-blind" means.
 
Independently and FBI-protocol tested in our loaded ammo: about 16 inches of penetration in ballistic gel with controlled expansion, at roughly 1,270 fps from a Glock 17. Made in the USA.
